European Nightcrawlers are valued for their adaptability for fishing bait, composting, and feed for chickens and lizards! These hardy worms are notable for their cold tolerance and versatility in outdoor composting. They reproduce slower than Red Wigglers, but they do travel further down into the composting material.

Though their decomposition rate is slower than Red Wigglers, they still effectively process diverse organic waste. European Nightcrawlers prefer 70° to 80°F climates but tolerate 45° to 90°F.
